FIFTH WEEK OF MATILDA:

SINGING LESSON: in this lesson we watched our mock performance as well as practising work for the showcase. We sat as a whole class and watched both performances, ours was reviewed first. When i was watching it i found that the projection was very strong but there was something lacking in term of performance, i just didn't see it as if we were actually performing it it just seemed like a practice that was okay.
When we received feedback from the class we more or less got the same feed back, the class agreed that our projection had improved from previous lessons and that it was strong. But they said that the our dancing/ performance of the choreography was weaker. Which i also agreed with, as a group to improve this think we just need to make sure every move is tense and impactful. We also need to make sure that we perform like we would during our assessment each time in order for us to get used to the level of performance expected from us on the day we are assessed.
the other groups feedback was more or less similar accept there choreo was stronger during the performance than there projection and timing.

After this self assessment we began to practice song for the showcase like nothing like a dame and seasons of love. As we did this we just brushed up on choreo and familiarised our selves with the word/harmonies of the songs. During nothing like a dame a clear technique that was developed was co ordination, as we had a  box step move. This helped develop co ordination because it was very important you get the step right in order to avoid bumping into someone.
Because we had yet to warm up we did a quick breathing exercise before practicing season of love as that song is more demanding in terms of projection due to its pitch.
We spent most of the rest of the lesson focussing on those two songs .
